This branch of law concerns judicial control of the decision making process involving central government, local government, District Court Judges and other tribunals, various statutory bodies, by in some circumstances private organisations.
That control is primarily through the provisions of the Judicature Amendment Act 1972 which provides wide-ranging powers for a Court to review decisions and the process by which they were obtained.
Our members' expertise in this area relates to Court proceedings that have been or may be brought for judicial review and advising on the ways in which decisions may be challenged and remedies that may be available.
