Paul Rishworth is Professor of Law and Dean, Faculty of Law, The University of Auckland and teaches Public Law, elective papers in Rights and Freedoms, Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law, Education Law, and South Pacific Legal Studies. He is a joint author of The New Zealand Bill of Rights (2003) and has published widely on human rights in New Zealand. He is a contributor to NZ Law Review on Human Rights, and was an original author of the Bill of Rights Commentary in Adams on Criminal Law, Brookers, NZ.

Paul Rishworth's practice comprises providing opinions and advice in the areas of:

• Bill of Rights issues (expression, religion, natural justice, discrimination and other rights arising in civil cases; generally not criminal cases unless the issue is a substantive one about the interpretation or application of the relevant law).
• Constitutional and human rights issues.
